Terms of use

1. General

The website yessiosmuseum.com and the online shop it hosts are owned and operated by the Civil Non-Profit Company «ΜΟΥΣΕΙΟ ΓΕΣΙΟΥ “Ο ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΚΟΣ ΑΓΩΝΑΣ ΚΑΙ Η ΕΔΕΣΣΑ” Α.Μ.Κ.Ε.» (Yessios Museum “The Macedonian Struggle and Edessa”, hereinafter “the Museum”).

Use of the website and any purchase from the online shop require acceptance of the following terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

2. Intellectual property

The content of the website (texts, photographs, graphics, logos, videos and audio) belongs to the Museum or is used with the permission of the rights holders and is protected by intellectual property law. It may not be reproduced, republished or used commercially without the prior written permission of the Museum.

3. Products and prices

Product photographs and descriptions are indicative and there may be small differences in colour or appearance. Prices are shown in euros (€). Any shipping cost is shown separately before the order is completed. The Museum may change its prices, but each order is charged at the price shown at the time it was placed.

4. Orders

The order is placed with the “Place order” button. Immediately afterwards you receive a confirmation email with its details. If a product is unavailable or there is an obvious error in the price, the Museum will contact you and may cancel the order, refunding without delay anything you have paid.

5. Payment methods

• By debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), Apple Pay or Google Pay, through the secure environment of Viva Payments. Your card details are neither entered nor stored on the Museum's website.
• Cash on delivery, paying in cash upon delivery.

6. Shipping and delivery

The cost and estimated delivery time are shown before the order is completed. The delivery time is indicative and may be affected by factors beyond the Museum's control, such as courier delays or public holidays.

7. Withdrawal and returns

You have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the products, without giving any reason. The details are described in the Returns policy.

8. Personal data

The details you provide when ordering are used only to fulfil and invoice the order and to contact you about it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. They are shared only with those necessary to complete the order, such as the payment provider and the courier. You can find more in the Privacy policy.

9. Limitation of liability

The Museum makes every effort to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee that the website will always operate without interruptions or errors. It is not responsible for the content of third-party websites to which links lead.

10. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Greek law and in particular by Law 2251/1994 on consumer protection. Without prejudice to the rights the law gives you as a consumer, the courts of Edessa have jurisdiction over any dispute. For out-of-court resolution you can contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (synigoroskatanaloti.gr).

11. Changes to the terms

The Museum may amend these terms. Each order is governed by the terms published at the time it was placed.
